Prior to co-founding Current Automotive, Seneca spent nearly nine years at Tesla. He was one of the first two hundred employees to join Tesla in 2009 and was the top sales representative for North America in 2010 and 2011. He went on to lead a team responsible for the first deliveries of the Model S in 2012 across 37 states, then helped establish Tesla’s Certified Pre-Owned program in 2014. He led that team until his departure in January 2018 to help launch Current Automotive. Seneca currently drives a Tesla Model 3, loves to travel the world, and is an avid Formula 1 fan.
Trip began his career in the auto industry when he joined the family business in 2006. After almost 10 years, he left to try something new. He became the store manager for a Tesla store in Chicago. He led the store for over two years, eventually taking it to become one of the Top 10 performing Tesla stores globally in Q4 2016. He left Tesla to rejoin the family business in 2017, and co-founded Current Automotive in 2018. Trip is a pilot, he currently flies a Diamond DA40.
Joe has been surrounded with cars for as long as he’s been working – his first job was detailing cars in high school. Later, he was a District Manager for General Motors and eventually joined Tesla in 2012. He spent six years working his way up to lead the delivery teams for the Midwest and later California. He came back to Chicago to join Current Automotive in 2019 to continue helping consumers go electric. Joe currently drives a Model S, and enjoys fitness, good food, and summers in Chicago.
Before joining Current Automotive, Blane spent two and a half years reporting for Naperville Community Television. A lifelong car enthusiast, he always jumped at the chance to be an auto journalist and cover local car stories for the station. He’s excited to now be combining that love of cars with his content creation skills. Blane currently drives a Mazda Miata and is looking forward to getting an electric daily driver.
